Research Interests
Freshwater ecology, conservation biology & species invasions, taxonomy of Australian Mayflies.

- science-based cinematography, including microscopic, time-lapse, under water, infra-red and remote operated filming

- web design and preparation of still and video imagery for the internet.
Current Projects
Our group is currently working to broaden knowledge of the Australian mayfly fauna and to enhance our knowledge of the evolutionary relationships between species. (Taxonomy of Mayflies and Aquatic Invertebrates)
My main roles in the project involve:
- collection of mayflies in the field
- subsequent identification of mayflies
- extraction and preparation of DNA for genetic sequencing
- microscope photography of specimens
- entry of data into the BioLink database.
